Watch Magical Russian Fairy Tale Come To Life on Joe’s Stage

Zerkalo Musical Theater returns to Joe’s to develop their newest production, “The Magic Horse” or “The Humpbacked Horse” in front of Joe’s audiences

This pay-what-you-wish, cash only at door performance is open to children of all ages. Families encouraged!

Mount Rainier, MD Apr. 18, 16: Joe’s Movement Emporium and Zerkalo Musical Theater pair up on May 15th at 4 pm to bring a new work-in-process showing to the stage. The popular children’s theater group returns to Joe’s after a successful presentation of “The Star Child” in February of this year. The play is loosely based on the Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov poem, “The Humpbacked Horse (Konyok-Gorbunok).” Perfect for children of all ages, this pay-what-you-wish event follows Joe’s mission to increase access to incredible arts experiences.

About “The Magic Horse”

A magic horse helps Ivan, the son of a peasant, carry out the many unreasonable demands of the Tsar. This magical adventure is loosely based on the Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov poem, “The Humpbacked Horse (Konyok-Gorbunok).”

About Zerkalo Musical Theater

“Zerkalo” is Russian for “mirror”. Directed by Olga Predit, Zerkalo Musical Theater is made up of children who perform Russian fairy tales in English and in Russian.

Suggested donation: $20-$40. Joe’s asks those who can give generously to allow those to can’t to come for free.
