TWO New Ways to Move at Joe’s!

Joe’s staff are putting their 10-class passes to work to get fit and feel fabulous for beach season!

Looking for new ways to move at Joe’s? We’ve got two BRAND NEW classes with INCREDIBLE instructors who are ready to take you from winter flubber to a summer beach bod!

A warm welcome to Ty Powell and Monica Brinn to the Joe’s family. Ty and Monica’s classes will be on the Joe’s 10-class pass system. This means if you already have a 10-class pass, it’ll be easy to try these new gut busting and butt shaping classes. If you don’t have a 10-class pass, we recommend you get one, immediately.

MONDAYS AT 6:30 PM
THURSDAYS AT 6 PM

This full body workout is designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. It is performed on a yoga mat, with low impact, aimed to protect your joints and muscles from the pounding of other exercises. The interval aspect of this workout helps keeps your heart rate up and allows you to engage in a great cardio/full-body workout.

Ty tells us, “we play music, I encourage people to dance, smile, encourage others near them, and most importantly, to have fun and run their own race.”

TUESDAYS AT 6:30 PM

Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga and Pilates fusion classes are suitable to all levels, and instruction will include variations to challenge more intermediate students and to develop more beginner students.

If you have never practiced yoga, please feel free to begin your journey here! If you have been practicing for years, please come to continue your journey, and to deepen your practice. Classes will include breath integration, deep stretching, balance and core work, sun salutations, a variety of postures and relaxation.

NEW FREE CLASS: Community Vinyasa Yoga

Joe’s Movement Emporium is dedicated to helping new yoga teachers become certified by providing space for them to complete their certification by offering their classes, free for the community, and getting feedback.

Starting May 8th, Joe’s is thrilled to welcome one of Brooke Kidd’s yoga students, Stephen Bascietto,  to the studio for 6 weeks of Vinyasa Yoga classes. All classes are free; attend all 6 or drop-in to just one.

Class dates: Sundays, May 8th – June 19th, NO CLASS May 29th

Class time: 10 am – 11 am in Studio 2 

Community Vinyasa Yoga Class:

A moderately paced flow style class with a mix of standing/balancing postures followed by calming “yin style” floor postures. Verbal and visual demonstrations of poses will be offered as well as modifications. Attendees are encouraged scale the class offerings to meet their bodies while feeling inspired to try something new and different.

Stephen Bascietto: A native of Maryland, Stephen spent his youth exploring the woods of Howard County and trying to find ways around doing his homework. Motivated by passion and guided by intuition, he answered the call for his heroes journey when in 2010 and set out to become a custom guitar craftsmen. Yoga made it’s way into his life in 2014 and he almost immediately recognized the many benefits asana offers. The intention behind his offerings are to provide a fun, comfortable environment for you to explore and connect with your mind, body and universal spirit.
