Ally Theatre Company is thrilled to announce a partnership with local anti-harassment organization Defend Yourself! Lauren Taylor and her teachers will be offering FREE Self Defense and Active Bystander Training Workshops to attendees of select Think Before You Holla performances.

The workshops will happen between shows for the following dates:
(NOTE: attendees from either show can participate in that day’s workshop, with proof of purchase.)

3:45pm – 4:45pm workshop – focus: Active Bystander Training
5pm performance

Memoir Writing – a NEW 5 week class!

Capture the memories you want to preserve for yourself and your family in this new memoir-writing class at Joe’s. Led by storyteller Cathy Smith, the class will be a safe space for you to share your writing, whether you do it for fun or to publish.
  • Cost:  $60 for five, two-hour sessions
  • Dates: Wednesday mornings starting July 5th – August 2nd or Thursday evenings starting July 6th  – August 3rd
  • Time:  Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Thursdays 10 am – 12 noon

She performs at storytelling shows such as Story District, Better Said Than Done and Perfect Liar’s Club. She directs CreativeWorks, Joe’s workforce development program for young adults.
